We thought we'd post this update from Ukrainian authorities.  The information should be actual as of December 22, 2021, but is subject to change without notice.

All foreign citizens, holders of a temporary residence permit, as well as stateless persons need to have one of the following documents:

• valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines that are approved by WHO (Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson и AstraZeneca, Indian vaccines such Covishield и Covaxin and also Chinese BBIBP-CorV and CoronaVac.); or

• negative PCR test or antigen test, which is done no more than 72 hours before entry.

The tests are not required for vaccinated individuals and children under 12 years of age.

Foreign tourists over 18 years old who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus and cross the state border are required to have a negative test result and install a mobile application “Vdomа”  to control the self-isolation for 14 days, regardless how long they stay in Ukraine.

Self-isolation does not apply if, within 72 hours from the moment of arrival, you make PCR testing or a rapid antigen test and get a negative result.

•Foreign travelers and temporary residents must have the health insurance covering all COVID-19 treatment expenses for the duration of their stay in Ukraine. The insurance should be purchased from a company registered in Ukraine.

From December 3 it is FORBIDDEN to enter Ukraine, if in the last 14 days you visited the following countries: the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Kingdom of Eswatini, Mozambique , Republic of Malawi.

From September 20, 2021, foreigners and stateless persons who enter Ukraine for the purpose of transit and have documents confirming their departure from the country within 48 hours are exempt from self-isolation and, accordingly, the installation of the Vdomа application and testing in Ukraine.
